Top 5: See some of Palm Beach County’s long-languishing listings

With demand outpacing supply in Palm Beach County’s real estate market, the typical house is snapped up after only a month on the market.

But statistics never tell the full story, and Palm Beach County’s property market includes at least one condo that has languished on the market since George W. Bush was in the White House. Here are five long-in-the-tooth listings (short sales and pending deals excluded):

3,162 days: 19981 Boca West Drive Unit 3123

This unit west of Boca Raton is priced at only $49,000, but it has been available for more than eight years. Boca West’s steep entry fee is one obstacle, said listing agent Ken Reichle of Lang Realty.

“It needs to be redone, and you’ve got a membership fee of $70,000,” Reichle said.

2,053 days: 233 S. Federal Highway, Apt. 701

This condo in Boca Raton is priced at $369,500.

1,846 days: 900 Juno Ocean Walk Unit C13

This mobile home in Juno Beach is on the market for $114,900, but that might be a bargain. Zillow says it’s worth twice as much.

1,775 days: 3700 S. Ocean Blvd, Apt 309

This condo in Highland Beach is priced at $775,000.

1,752 days: 3950 NE Sixth Drive

Asking price for this 1,900-square-foot house in Boca Raton is $999,999.

The common theme? Unmotivated sellers, agents say.
