Maker of Grateful Dead hoodies opens warehouse in Mangonia Park

MANGONIA PARK — A company that makes hoodies and blankets emblazoned with the Grateful Dead’s name will distribute its products from Mangonia Park, the Business Development Board of Palm Beach County said Friday.

Ramatex International last year paid $1.2 million for a 23,000-square-foot warehouse at 1310 53rd St. in Mangonia Park, according to property records. It plans to ship goods to the U.S., Canada and Japan.

Ramatex will hire 20 new employees, the development board said. The company makes the Earth Ragz brand. A top seller is the Grateful Dead Baja hoodie with dancing bears, priced at $29.99. A Jerry Garcia blanket also goes for $29.99.

Ramatex’s distribution center had been in New Jersey. Company owner Camilo Raful bought a condo in Palm Beach in 2013, according to property records.
