Boca Raton lost a Fortune 500 headquarters last month, when Newell Brands of Atlanta bought Jarden Corp. But Boca will keep the home office of Office Depot, after a federal judge on Thursday killed the retailer’s plan to be bought by larger rival Staples.

Office Depot (NYSE: ODP) operates from a 600,000-square-foot headquarters in Boca. The company is something of a tarnished trophy — sales fell 10 percent from 2014 to 2015 — but it’s one of only two Fortune 500 companies headquartered in Palm Beach County. NextEra Energy of Juno Beach is the other.

The federal judge blocked the $6.3 billion merger, saying the government had proved the deal would probably hurt the office supply market.
