Sports Authority will shutter six stores in Palm Beach County as part of a liquidation announced last week. The Colorado retailer paid nearly $3.8 million a year to lease the six locations, which occupied a combined 250,000 square feet of space, according to a Palm Beach Post analysis of bankruptcy filings.

Here’s how the stores stack up by rent per square foot:

  1. West Boca: $20.21
  2. Palm Beach Outlets: $19.67
  3. Delray Beach: $16.60
  4. Palm Beach Gardens: $15.87
  5. Jupiter: $9.88
  6. Boynton Beach: $8.99

Sports Authority ditched its seventh store, in Wellington, earlier this year. It’s in liquidation mode. See more details here:
