Retired baseball player Rick Ankiel is trying to sell his Jupiter crib for $2.2 million. Ankiel recently listed the home at 8695 SE Compass Island Way — which has a Jupiter address but officially lies in Martin County.

The home last sold in 2011 for $1.475 million.

The Meyer Lucas Group has the listing.

Ankiel, who coaches for the Cardinals, isn’t going anywhere. In September he paid $825,000 for another house in Jupiter.

The Fort Pierce native jumped onto the national stage as a hard-throwing left-handed pitcher. After a strong 2000 season, Ankiel, then 20, imploded in the postseason, throwing wild pitch after wild pitch. He reinvented himself as an outfielder and played for the Royals, Braves, Astros, Nationals and Mets.
