How the mighty have fallen. Last year, Palm Beach County ranked No. 1 on Ten-X’s list of the nation’s hottest housing markets, topping Denver, San Francisco and other capitals of froth.

In Ten-X’s latest list of hottest markets, released this week, Palm Beach County has fallen all the way to 22nd place.

Tampa ranks first and northern New Jersey last on the list of the nation’s 50 largest metro areas. The real estate marketplace didn’t explain the reasons for Palm Beach County’s slide, but prices have reached a plateau and inventories have begun to creep up.
