Another price cut for Palm Beach’s priciest mansion

The most expensive listing in Palm Beach just got a little less expensive. The mansion at 1071 N. Ocean Blvd. now is asking $74.5 million.

Originally listed at $84.5 million, the seller cut the price in November to $79.5 million. The listing agent is Christian Angle.

Meanwhile, the house lost its spot as Palm Beach County’s most expensive listing when the Ziff estate in Manalapan hit the market for $195 million.

The priciest listing in Palm Beach County just shaved its asking price by $5 million.

The mansion at 1071 N. Ocean Blvd. in Palm Beach had been priced at $84.5 million. Now it’s listed for $79.5 million.

The newly built north-end mansion spans nearly 33,000 square feet and boasts an eight-car garage. The listing agent is Christian Angle.

Intriguingly, the most expensive listing in Broward County boosted its asking price by $20 million, to $159 million.

Not much surprise here: Mansions on the island of Palm Beach sweep the top 10 spots on the list of priciest properties in Palm Beach County.

Here are the top five, in reverse order (and with the caveat that these are just list prices, which might not reflect the eventual sale price):

$42.9 million: The 11,735-square-foot mansion at 640 S. Ocean Blvd. in Palm Beach was designed by Addison Mizner in 1923. Listing agent: Cris Condon of Sotheby’s International Realty.

$47 million: The 10,500-square-foot mansion is at 100 Casa Bendita in Palm Beach. Listing agent: Paulette Koch of Corcoran Group.

$59 million: The 18,000-square-foot mansion at 89 Middle Road, a few blocks south of Worth Avenue. Listing agent: Carole Hogan of Brown Harris Stevens.

$67.5 million: This 22,000-square-foot mansion is at 1485 S. Ocean Blvd. Listing agent: Christian Angle.
